7 Beaches to Visit Before They Disappear

Morocco

If you think Morocco has all the sand of the world, then think again. The coastlines of Morocco's Atlantic beaches are taking a beating as tons of sand is being dredged to create lunar landscapes. Olaf Guerrand-Hermes, co-founder of Coastal Care, a U.S.-based environmental organization, says that Morocco's beaches face devastation due to destructive sand mining operations. Over 30 nations in the world face the same problem too. The sand dunes in the seaside towns of Kenitra and Larache have been completely bulldozed. Apart from ruining tourism of the nation, sea-birds and turtle are losing their homes and food too. If You Visit: The northern Moroccan coast, also called the "next French Riviera" is still being discovered by visitors. Also, Larache still has intact beaches.
