Amazing Culture Fair "Reh & Boori Boot Festival" of Arunachal Pradesh

Reh & Boori Boot Festival of Arunachal Pradesh is celebrating on 1st February to 6th, 2015.

Celebrated in the initial 3 days of February in the State of Arunachal Pradesh, Reh Festival celebrated every year by Idu Mishmi community at Lower Dibang Valley and Dibang Valley districts. Celebrated by the Idu Mishmi, the festival has its own legend. According to the old stories, the Idus believe that they are the sons and daughters of the divine mother 'Nanyi Inyitaya' though none of the siblings gets her blessings. From that point forward, the Reh celebration is commended with a specific end goal to keep the brotherhood bond alive and continue to stay the social feeling strong.

During the festival, number of buffaloes, Mithuns and pigs will sacrifice and offer to the great mother 'Nanyi Inyitaya'. Not only that, pigs and money are given to the relatives where the priest perform Puja. The preparation of rice, meat and rice beer is compulsory. During the festival; the 'Naya' dance is perform where many rituals are performed by the priest and rice beer is poured at the trunk of the stump for the goddess of the house hold.

The 3 day's festival that celebrated on 4th to 6th February, the Boori Boot festival is exclusively performed by the Hill-Miris; the tiny populace individuals who settled in Daporijo, Upper Subansiri Locale and Raga and Dollungmukh ranges of Lower Subansiri Region of Arunachal Pradesh. Boori Boot Festival of Hill-Miris is celebrated every year to get together to hail the spring and successful harvest.

The festival essentially involves the crowd of different division of people. Fundamentally; the Boori Boot celebration intends to get together regardless of age, sex, caste to hail the spring and effective harvest. The celebration likewise invokes the soul of Boori Boot to bless with flourishing and free from diseases of any sort. The priest performs Puja as well as conduct sacrifice.
