Shama is among the oldest operators on the Bangalore-Kerala route. They have a set of regular passengers, for whom bus travel would always mean taking a Shama bus. Shama Transports was among the first to launch Volvo services to Kerala. They operate 4 daily services on the Bangalore-Kerala route, and are well received by their passengers. Their routes are Bangalore-Ernakulam, Bangalore-Kottayam-Pathanamthitta, Bangalore-Ernakulam-Trivandrum and Bangalore-Nagercoil-Trivandrum. They are currently replacing their older buses with brand new Volvo multi-axle buses on most routes now.
One of the biggest names in the transportation industry in Bangalore, SRS entered into the Bangalore-Kerala route last year with a Bangalore-Nagercoil
Thiruvananthapuram Volvo service. They recently introduced an AC sleeper service on the Bangalore-Ernakulam route. They currently operate three daily buses from Bangalore to Kerala.
