Dubare Elephant Camp is located at the edge of Dubare forest, on the bank of the river Kaveri, on the Kushalanagar - Siddapur road in Kodagu district.
The nearby forests of Dubare give you an opportunity to explore the vivid wildlife of these forests. Many wild animals like Asian elephants, sambhar and cheetal deer can be seen while roaming in these forests. Tourists can also enjoy elephant rides and training sessions of elephants in this park. Wildlife safari gives you a chance to see other animals too like crocodiles, peacocks and gaurs. You can also experience the wilderness of the surroundings by staying in the lodges and resorts which are provided by the park authority. Tourists enjoy scrubbing the ears and backs as the elephants throw water on themselves through their trunks. After the bathing fun, it's dinner time, with visitors serving raagi balls made especially for them by the forest department. The cool and gurgling waters of the Cauvery River create a pleasant and refreshing atmosphere. River rafting and angling are the other activities available here.
