In a significant boost to Kerala tourism and its deepening engagement with the Middle East tourism market, the state is set to host Indo-Arab Connect 2026 in Kochi from August 31 to September 2, bringing together policymakers, international tour operators, hospitality leaders, and stakeholders from Ayurveda and medical travel sectors under one global platform. The event, officially titled Indo-Arab Connect 2026, is expected to become one of India's largest tourism business networking forums focused on strengthening travel ties between India and Arab nations. The official logo of the event was unveiled by Kerala Tourism Minister P. C. Vishnunadh, who highlighted the growing significance of Arab travellers in shaping the state's evolving tourism economy and its year-round visitor inflow pattern.
Speaking at the launch, Vishnunadh emphasized that visitors from Gulf countries have become a backbone for Kerala's tourism resilience, particularly because of their strong preference for travel during the off-season months between June and September. This pattern has helped stabilize revenue for hotels, resorts, and experiential tourism providers even during lean domestic travel periods. The event will be inaugurated by Chief Minister V. D. Satheesan, reinforcing the government's commitment to expanding international tourism partnerships and positioning Kochi as a strategic gateway for global tourism collaboration.
Organised by Tourism India Media Group in collaboration with Kerala Tourism, leading industry associations, and airline partners, Indo-Arab Connect 2026 will serve as a high-value B2B platform connecting nearly 200 tour operators from Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, and Iran with over 500 Indian buyers from tourism, wellness, Ayurveda, and medical value travel industries. The presence of delegates from Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana, and Puducherry will further strengthen inter-state tourism cooperation and promote India as a unified destination for international markets.

The summit will strongly highlight Kerala's strengths in Ayurveda tourism, wellness travel, luxury hospitality, and medical value travel, sectors that have witnessed steady demand from Middle Eastern visitors seeking holistic healing experiences and premium leisure stays. Industry leaders including Kerala Medical Value Travel Society president representative Kerala Medical Value Travel Society and Association of Arab Tour Operators representative Association of Arab Tour Operators along with E. M. Najeeb and Jolly Antony jointly received the event logo, symbolizing strengthened collaboration between Indian and Arab tourism stakeholders.
Officials noted that Kochi tourism is poised for further global attention as Indo-Arab Connect 2026 will also facilitate discussions on airline connectivity, sustainable travel experiences, and investment opportunities in hospitality infrastructure. By fostering long-term partnerships and encouraging cross-border tourism innovation, the event aims to reinforce Kerala's identity as a preferred destination for Arab travellers while boosting economic growth across its tourism-dependent sectors. The summit is expected to create lasting business linkages that will shape inbound travel trends and expand India's footprint in the Middle Eastern travel market for years to come.
Industry experts believe the initiative will further accelerate Kochi tourism development by enhancing direct air connectivity from Gulf hubs, increasing hotel occupancy rates, and strengthening Kerala's global branding as a wellness-focused destination. With rising interest in Ayurveda tourism packages and premium medical travel, stakeholders expect Indo-Arab Connect 2026 to generate long-term investment opportunities and seasonal balance in tourist arrivals, making Kerala a year-round attraction for international visitors.
