Religious practices have been on the decline in Sweden over the last many years in a process of secularization and only 17 percent of the population shows a positive attitude towards religion and religious beliefs. This is quite evident from the church membership and church attendance of this country, which has witnessed a huge fall, from 82.9 percent in the year 2000 to the percent status of 17 percent.
