Incepted during medieval times, Freemasonry is a worldwide fraternal organization. Its members are joined together by shared ideals, both moral and metaphysical in nature, and in most of its branches. By a common belief in a supreme being.
This age old group has been active in the city for the last 110 years. The Hamilton memorial on the beach road is being used as a Masonic temple where the freemasons gather regularly as a lodge.

Srikurmam
Srikurmam is located in the Srikakulam district and is about a 100 km from Visakhapatnam. It derives its name from the Sri Kurmam temple of Lord Vishnu.
Polamamba Temple
The Karakachettu Polamamba is an integral part of the city’s religious scene, touching the lives of hundreds of residents of the city. Goddess Polamamba the presiding deity of the temple is also the local goddess for the surrounding villages.
The Polamamba Jatara, which is held every year in the temple, brings in crowds from a number of villages around the city.

Annavaram
Situated on the banks of the river Pampa, this sacred Hindu pilgrim center is located on a hilltop - Ratnagiri. The Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Swamy Temple here is visited by a large number of devotees every year. It is believed that one’s wishes would come true if a virata (fasting) is performed here.
The main festivals here are Bhima Ekadasi, Kalynotavam and vysaka Ekadasi.
Simhachalam Temple
Simhachalam temple is situated 16 km from Vizag amidst lush green hills. The beautifully carved 16-pillared dance hall and the 96-pillared cultural hall showcase the architectural brilliance of the era that used to be. The presiding deity is Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy.
Umarukoteswaralayam, Srikakulam
Out of the five shivalingas blessed by Balarama along the bank of river Nagavali, this is the fourth one. Inscriptions on the Utsava idols tell the tale that this temple was found during the Salivahana Era. Popularly known as Kotilingala temple, it attracts large number of pilgrims during Mahashivaratri and Karthikamasam.
Venkateswera Swamy Konda
The third important hillock of the city has a temple dedicated to Lord Venkateswera. According to the Telugu inscriptions, a British Captain Blackmoor built this temple in 1886. From here one can view the port channel which was the entrance of the inner harbor for ships and liners.
Darga Konda
This magnificent hill has a mosque and a shrine dedicated to the Muslim saint Sayed Ali Medina alias Ishaque Madina, who is revered for his prophecies. This is the third of the trinity of hills.
Gurudwara Sadh Sangat
The Gurudwara at seethammadhara is the city's most famous and frequented religious place of the sikhs. As the name aptly describes, these Gates to the Master” are always open, no matter who seeks refuge within the sanctum.
Umalakshyeswaraswamy Alayam, Srikakulam
This temple was constructed 150 years back on the south bank of river Nagavali in Gujarathipeta by a saint. It is believed that by worshiping these Nagabandhams, couples are blessed with a child.
Sri Venkatesweraswamy Alayam, Gujarathipeta
This temple which is situated on Narayana Thirumala Hill near river Nagavali is famous for being constructed on the lines of Thirumala. Before entering the main temple there is a big stature of garuda is said to be the tallest in AP. The main deity in Garbhagudi sanctum sanctorum is formed of black stone and is beautifully carved. Two Utsavamurthis of Padmavathi, Alivelumanga are present on both sides of main deity.
Nadeeswaralayam, Bendi
Historical evidence establish the fact that this was constructed by Cholas. It is a 50 ft, rock cut ancient temple with beautiful architecture which resembles Someswaralayam of Srimukhalingam.
Jagannadha Swamy Alayam, Tarlakota
Situated at the main entrance of the once upon opulent palace of Tarlakota is the Jagannadha swamy temple. The majestic structures with numerous carvings of religious deities of yore that adorn the walls of the temple with a touch of erotica.
Balaji Temple, Tarlakota
It is the representation of the ancient cultural architecture of Odissi style gifted to Srikakulam district. This temple resembles the Radha Govindaswamy temple of Meliaputty.
Vasudevamurthy Alayam
This beautiful temple was built by Raja Hara Mana Deo, the erstwhile Jamindar of Mandasa. We find the temple with myriad forms of Hindu Gods and Goddesses. Unique feature of the temple is the presence of erotic figures on the walls of the temple.
Kodandaramalayam, Sompeta
This temple occupies an important place in history. The outer side of the temple was lavishly decorated with sculptures of black stone.
Seetharamaswamy Temple
The famous Seetharamaswamy temple was built by Bobbili kings 350 years ago. The idol of the presiding deity is unique as it is carved out of a single black granite stone with Seethamma sitting on the lap of Ramaswamy. The main temple bears an impressive array of beautiful sculptures.
Sangamesweraswamy Alayam, Sangam
It is the third Shiva Linga blessed by Balarama along the banks of river Nagavali. The name of the place is derived from the confluence of three holy rivers Nagavali, Vegavathi and Suvarnamukhi.
Sangamaiah, Sailada
It is a cave temple where Sangameswera Swamy was found inside the cave near Amadalavalasa. At the time of pongal every year, a 3 day festivals is celebrated.
Gowrimaninageswera Temple Kallepalli
It is the 5th and last shivalinga out of 5 shivalingas blessed by Balarama at the end of Dwaparaugam along the bank of river Nagavali. The specialty here is that the shivalinga is in 2 parts in the form of Arthanareswera and it is believed that the first part is Shiva and second half is Parvathi.
Srikurmam
It is the only temple in India where the tortoise incarnation of Lord Vishnu (Kurmavathara) is worshiped. The intricate carvings on the 108 black granite pillars of Parikrama are distinct and of special attraction to visitors.
Madinababa darga
It is one of the most interesting tourist shrines where people of all religions worship. People have the belief that those who visit this place and take the blessings of Baba will have their wishes fulfilled.
Hatakeswaraswamy Alayam, Singupuram
It is the only cave temple of Srikakulam district on Sindura hill inscriptions on the pillar establish that it was constructed during 11th century A.D. Every year in the month of Chaitram, Kalyasotsavam is celebrated for 9 days.
Srimukhalingam, Dakshina Kasi
Srimukhalingam is popularly acclaimed Dakshina Kasi. The sculpture in the temple is virtual lyric on stone. The three most beautiful temples are famous for Kalinga architecture.
Vendalamallikarjunaswamy Alayam Ravivalasa
It is one of the most revered pilgrim centres of Srikakulam district. Legends trace its origin to Tretayuga, the mammoth Sivalinga of this temple is believed to have been growing in height since its construction.
Radhagovindaswamy Temple (Kajuraho OF AP)
Radhagovindaswamy temple at Meliaputti was built by Veeraveerendra Pratap Rudra Gajapathi Narayana Deo. Popularly known as Kajaraho of AP. The exquisite carvings on the temple walls convey the message of the Vedas. The dome is decorated with 108 lotuses of which every flower is unique in its shape.

Gurajada Kalkshetram is an open air auditorium.

Indira Gandhi Zoological Park
This will delight the children and adults alike as you watch the wild Africa come alive. Situated in between NH-5 and Beach Road, the park spreads over an area of 625 acres. It has around 700 animals belonging to 89 species.
